Two days of polymer mixed media and learning.
Our themes will be "Splish Splash, Flitter Flutter" and "In the Garden" -- a variety of proeject and techniques will be covered incuding color mixing, surface treatments, use of accents, embellishments, and inclusions, use of resin and other fun stuff. This is going tobe a fun, intensive class. You don't want to miss it.

Instructor Randee Ketzel came to Pittsburgh from Austin, Texas for two exciting and creative days of fooling Mother Nature. We created a bracelet with all the faux natural elements we learned.

November opened with a huge event for our group. As part of our mission to inform people and promote the medium of polymer clay, we had our first gallery show,Polymer Journey,November 1-15, 2008 at Planet Art Gallery in Mt. Lebanon, PA.
Sculptural Book
For the third time, April brought together PPCG and thePittsburgh Book Arts Collective. Our collaborative meetings have resulted in unique and cherished works. At this event we created a sculptural book with a focus on surface techniques. We had a wonderful time and learned a lot from each other. Look at some of the creations from Lily, Magda, Laura and Wendy. We are looking forward to next year collaboration!
PMC and Polymer Clay
In January 2008 precious metal clay artist Donna Penoyer held a two-day PMC workshop for our members. Because of the positive response to this workshop, our guild has purchased a Paragon SC2 kiln. Now our guild members will be able to incorporate PMC in their polymer creations.
